We are very pleased to welcome Dr Hooman Andami to the PSC Europe team. Hooman joined us at the end of August and is working as a Senior Consultant within the Electrical Engineering team, based in our Warwick office in the UK.

Prior to joining PSC, Hooman has been working as a Power Systems Engineer in the Customer Solution Department / System Design at National Grid where he was working with various generators on the design and development of their connections to the GB electricity transmission system.  This involved engaging closely with customers and key stakeholders, as well as carrying out power system studies to design and optimise network reinforcements for compliance with technical requirements.  

Hooman has also previously worked as a Research Associate at the University of Manchester, focusing on two significant research projects – one which focused on the activities and responsibilities for the operation of the future distribution system and the second looking into the ways in which distributed energy storage devices could contribute to frequency regulation of the power system.

In his spare time, Hooman enjoys training in Judo and along with his two children, aged 8 and 10, is an active member of the British Judo Council.   Welcome to PSC Hooman.
