For 8 years, Gridconnect has challenged the standard thinking around the connection and regulation of renewable generators in order to devise innovative and cost-effective solutions for its clients. Now, their bright minds are joining PSC.
PSC has acquired Gridconnect – an Ireland-based firm delivering first-class technical advice for the renewable power generation industry. Adopting Gridconnect’s expertise in grid connection, substation and HV installation design and construction supervision of generator installations will further strengthen PSC’s Power Networks practice and help clients to more safely and effectively build renewable power into electricity networks.
Through the acquisition, Gridconnect will bolster PSC’s growing global service in the installation and interconnection of renewable energy technologies. By combining Gridconnect’s expertise in substation and HV installation design, grid code compliance studies, and electrical design with PSC’s internationally recognized suite of transmission and distribution network planning and operations services, the acquisition will allow clients to more effectively manage risk and improve business results.
“This is a fantastic development for PSC and our clients,” said Tim Miles, GM PSC Europe. “The acquisition will strengthen and diversify the expertise and capabilities within the Europe team, allowing us to bring a more robust level of support and guidance to our clients.”
