Supplier Code of Conduct

Statement of Power Systems Consultants Expectations

Power Systems Consultants (PSC) is committed to sustainable and inclusive procurement practices that deliver value for our clients. PSC’s Supplier Code of Conduct outlines the expectations PSC has of our suppliers. Suppliers must make their subcontractors aware of this code. Suppliers must notify PSC as soon as possible if a conflict with the code of conduct occurs or is likely to occur.

Health and Safety

We expect our suppliers to comply with all occupational health and safety legislation, regulation and codes of practice.

Ethical Behavior

We expect our suppliers to manage their activities, and conduct themselves, with integrity in accordance with applicable laws, regulations and ethical standards.

Bribery and Corruption

We are committed to doing business in an honest and ethical manner and take a zero-tolerance approach to any form of bribery and corruption. We are committed to acting professionally, fairly and with integrity in all our business relationships and to implementing and enforcing effective systems to counter bribery and corruption. We expect our suppliers to adopt a similar zero-tolerance approach to bribery and corruption and to take action to eliminate any inappropriate, unlawful or unfair dealing practices.

Conflicts of Interest

We expect our suppliers to ensure that no conflicts of interest arise between them and PSC or if such conflicts are discovered that they are eliminated and reported to PSC.

Freedom of Association and Collective Bargaining

We expect our suppliers to recognize the freely exercised right of workers to organize and defend their interests and to bargain collectively, as well as to protect those workers from any action or other form of discrimination related to the exercise of their right to organize, to carry out trade union activities and to bargain collectively.

Supply Chain Diversity and Inclusion

We are committed to:

  • the principle of diversity in our supply chain and are committed to ensuring that individuals are shown respect, treated fairly and that there is no unlawful discrimination in our working relationships.
  • connecting our communities, engaging a diverse supplier base including Indigenous-owned businesses, women-owned businesses, disability and social enterprises.
  • ensuring equality of opportunity and treatment in respect of employment and occupation without discrimination on grounds of race, color, gender, religion, age, sexual orientation, disability, political opinion, social or ethnic background.

We encourage suppliers to seek out opportunities to do the same and request that suppliers share this commitment in their own supply chain.

Human Rights and Modern Slavery

We expect our suppliers to:

  • adhere to international human rights standards in their workplace and address these standards within their supply chain.
  • comply with local employment standards and maintain a workplace that is free from unlawful discrimination.

We expect our suppliers not to tolerate:

  • human trafficking in any form.
  • child labor, forced labor or any other form of compulsory labor in accordance with the conventions of the International Labor Organisation (ILO).
  • any form of modern slavery within its workforce or supply chain.

We expect that all that all personnel involved in sourcing, processing, manufacturing, transporting or otherwise delivering goods/services to PSC are free from modern slavery practices.

Suppliers, direct or indirect, involved in human trafficking, forced or child labor, slavery or the deceptive recruitment of labor, are required to cease their supply immediately to PSC and will be reported as required by law to the appropriate authorities.

Upon request suppliers are required to provide detailed supply chain information on their goods and services and to declare any identified or perceived labor concerns to PSC.

Environment

We expect our suppliers to perform their business activities in compliance with all applicable laws and regulations regarding environmental protection. Upon request suppliers are required to provide information to PSC on environmental factors within their supply chains.

Material Compliance and Conflict Minerals

We expect our suppliers to:

  • declare, prior to supply, any goods containing hazardous substances or conflict minerals.
  • to provide information to PSC on hazardous substances or conflict minerals within their supply chains upon request.

Information Security and Data Protection

We expect our suppliers to:

  • protect confidential information and personal data belonging to or vested in PSC in accordance with all relevant laws, and act to prevent its misuse, theft, fraud, or improper disclosure.
  • take due care in handling, discussing, or transmitting confidential information and personal data that could affect PSC, its employees, its clients, the business community or the public, even after their assignment or contract with PSC has expired.
