Strategy & Planning
- Development of Substation data network strategy for a transmission company covering all voice, data, and real time network traffic.
- Strategic review of a multi-million dollar fiber optic transmission system deployment for a large transmission company highlighting any deployment and support issues and recommendations for improvement.
Telecommunications & Networking projects
- Network optimization, migration of existing services onto new digital telecommunications bearers at three geographically remote sites.
- Provision of expert advice providing assistance and advice associated with migration of EMS from a physical to virtual environment inclusive of application servers, domain controllers, active directories etc.
Investigation and Design
- Preparation of a WAN concept design for a large transmission company. This was based on a converged WAN architecture using MPLS and included preparation of a high level technical specification for subsequent inclusion in tender documentation.
- Detailed design for the migration of operational traffic to a new national fiber optic network for a large transmission customer. This included producing detailed service designs, installation specification and commissioning schedules.
Project Management & Build
- Security system upgrade. PSC provided telecommunications support for this project which required modification to Nokia PDH multiplex equipment at 15 sites.
- Project management of the design and construction for a 16.7km underground fiber optic cable and associated multiplexers replacing a digital microwave bearer.
- RF Link Planning, Microwave bearer installation of 2.4m parabolic antennae; planning, testing & commissioning.
